Waiting at the Alter
Hola Beautiful People!!!
I pray you all are having a great weekend! I had the honor of attending a friends wedding last night. It was so beautiful and amazing! Gosh, I love weddings. Even more so, I love to see the couple after the wedding day- maybe a few months. When they are in the groove of being husband and wife. I love to see the love that is still there. I love to see how they have blended together. For the Word tells us, that the two shall become one flesh. Its amazing to see the growth and change.
As I sat there listening to the short sermon and then the vows, I couldn't help but think about my possible wedding day and marriage. However, it wasn't the thoughts you would expect. I kept trying to picture my wedding day and I couldn't. Idk maybe my heart is still not healed from the last "relationship'. I didn't think that amongst the hurt that he stole my actual wedding dream too!! I have the desire, but I just can't picture it. That makes me feel so sad.

Anyways, I absolutely loved turning to see the groom as he watched his bride come meet him at the alter. It made my spirit fill with joy as his eyes tears with happiness seeing how beautiful she is and that she is his prize for life. Gosh! For a second there I really thought men like that stopped existing. Their vows gave a glimpse into their struggles and triumphs. So you know that it wasn't an easy task to get to the alter. But there they stood before God at the alter. Ready to make an eternity long commitment to one another. And there was absolutely no doubt of love in their union at all. GOD IS LOVE.
I only pray that God continues a work in me and whomever my husband to be is. That on my day and throughout my marriage others can say that our union is of love because GOD IS LOVE.

Stress Be Gone
Hey Guys!
Let's chat about something a little more challenging. I am stressed out! Well, I'm starting to be. Which is my "Check Engine light" that I'm doing way to much on my own or that I'm not putting my hope in God but something else. Help me pray and get back on track.
I'm trying to finish out my last year of graduate school. ( God willing I will be a May 2016 Graduate) But JESUS!!!! Financial Aid is a KILLER!!!! OMG!! Why does it have to cost my life to learn?? And then there is work. Which truthfully, by the grace of God is not bad. I just am ready to move up in my career. I don't always want to remain just an Analyst. I have a lot more to say and ideas to make happen. Finally, Finance!! URGH!! I don't even know where to begin with that.
Let me just say this, If I have any teens reading this- Let me tell you. Being an adult is not all that great. Okay, sure I get paid and I can buy a few things.. FEW, mmkay. The majority goes to bills. Car note, Car insurance, car maintenance, LOANS!!!!, phone bill, cable bill, gas for the car, food, rent, utilities etc. You get the point. Oh and also, helping out Mom and Dad. Hey, you've got to do it. Its your duty and honor. Not everyone is lucky to have their parent(s). Also, your tithes. I don't complain about this one because God made it ALL possible. So his portion happens no matter what.
For the past 2 weeks however, I believe the lesson God has been instructing me on is Psalm 23. Here's the breakdown:
The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want- I am a sheep in the herd of Christ.
He makes me lay down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters- He provided any and everything that I need or even want.
He restores my soul, he leads me in the path of righteousness for his name sake- When I sully my soul and I will because of my sinful nature, Thank God he cleans me and leads me once again in righteousness for his glory. So that others may see and want to be a sheep in his flock as well.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me, Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. - Although it is a definite that I will go thru difficult times, where its dark and nothing is growing, he will guide me through it. And I will not fear because the mighty one is my guide. He guides me with his staff ( showing the way) and corrects me with his rod ( when I get sidetracked he brings back my focus) They both help me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, you anoint my head with oil and my cup overflows- Those that mock me and abuse me and use me with have a front row seat to the blessings you pour out on me. So much so that the blessings will be great in number and magnitude.
Surely goodness and love ( mercy) will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen!- Because I am in the flock of the Almighty, who is all good things, greatness, favor, forgiveness, kindness, and patience etc will be with me always in life. I will have a set place in the kingdom of God because I am his servant and he is my master. So let this be!
Isn't the Word comforting? It doesn't mean there will not be stressful moments or moment where you get a little lost. The beauty and comfort come from understanding that the God we serve, the one that watches us endlessly Will Always be there for us. To guide and/or correct us. In his perfect timing he will bless and provide. And as one of Gods own, there is a specific place for us in his Kingdom.
So really all my worrying is moot. It temporary state sucks, but God always comes through and in a big way.
