PRIDE- The Devils Snare

Proverbs 13:10

Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advise.

Pride is not a friend that helps you in any avenue of life. It hinders growth and understanding. God calls us to be humble (Proverbs 16:19). How can God lift you up on higher ground if you have already hoisted yourself up on a shaky ground? (James 4:10)  Pride does not allow room for God. It takes over and clouds your judgement. ( Psalm 10:4) Humility and wisdom cannot flourish in a wasteland of pride. God wants us to bask in his glory and be blessed abundantly. But when we allow pride to overthrow our hearts, we are forced away from glory. ( Daniel 5:20)

Humility and Wisdom are the best weapons against pride. Pray to God for a humble heart and wisdom to accept advise and help.

It is not weak of a man to lower himself and gain wisdom, it is weak of a man to allow pride to carry him into destruction. -Faith. Hope.Love

Brokenness

Hey All.. Its been more than a while but God placed it on my heart to talk about brokenness.

The Lord is close to the brokenheartedand saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18

God can repair us and make us brand new again. He can piece you back together with new and better pieces. After all, he created you. What many cannot understand is that the storm that you are going through and the pain that you are feeling does not mean that God has forgotten about you. He sees you and he hears you. No good architect will build on a broken or unstable foundation. They will break and destroy it first... the ground will be completely bare and then they will begin to build a stable and solid foundation. He knows that there will come seasons that will test the structure. But because the foundation was destroyed of all instability and rebuilt stronger, he does not worry. Nor does the structure shake or sway, because it has a master architect that built it up.

Brokenness is not a permanent season. But in order to reach the level where God can rebuild you and display his glory in your life, he must first remove all blemishes and wrongs in your life. So that relationship that he plucked you out of, that job that he wont give you yet, the friends he is distancing you from, the feeling of complete and utter brokenness-- God has not forgotten about you, in fact God is rebuilding you for greatness. His glory is about to break through in your life. Yes, this season is tough but do not let that be your focus. Instead, spend time with God. Cry out to him all your woes, take up strength in the Lord and watch your brokenness become your greatest testimony.
